Out East for Easter

For Easter weekend I was invited to my dear friend Jennifer's house out in the Hampton's. If you keep up with my blog at all you will know that this is not the first time I have been out to Jen's house. However, this was the first time Oliver has been not only to the Hampton's but to the beach as well! Boy, did he love it!

Jen's parents were in town from Washington DC.  I had heard all about them but had never met them. They were amazing hosts and people. We all had a great time. It was a perfect weekend.

For Easter dinner Jen's parents cooked lamb chops on the grill along with green beans, potatoes and an apple tart. Everything was delicious.

The beautiful dinner table! And yes, I was actually talking about the actual table.

Jen's Mother grilling the lamb.

The next day Jen's Dad made a savory Parmesan soufflĂ©. It was wonderful. I had never had a soufflĂ© before so I was extremely excited. It turned out perfect.  We also had some crispy bacon and fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Talk about a perfect brunch before hitting up the beach.

Sandy puppy!

After the beach we headed down to Sag Harbor and spoiled ourselves to one last treat, ice cream cones! Then we walked along the harbor. The weather was amazing, the water was blue, the grass was green and the ice cream was perfect. It was an amazing end to a perfect weekend.

When I told my Dad Oliver was in puppy heaven he said "you need to get a raise so you can buy a beach house for your dog!"

  1. Your Oliver makes me smile till I have tears in my eyes... you are so luck to have such a good friend in your sweet puppy...
