Brooklyn Bridge

On Thursday night after spin class Oliver and I were invited over to my friend Emma's for dinner.  As I have mentioned before, the subways are all screwed up. So, I did what I said I was going to do. I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. This was the first time I have walked across the Brooklyn Bridge in the four years I have lived here.

It was around 8:00pm and the sun was just starting to go down and the weather was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better night.

I snapped some quick pictures with my iPhone so they aren't the best quality.

It took us about twenty minutes to walk across the bridge. I ended up carrying Oliver most of the way. He had a busy day playing with my bosses dog, Molly, at the office all day. Plus, there were so many bikes and tourists not paying attention. It was just easier.

Once we got to Emma's we snacked on some crackers and goat cheese and popped open a bottle of red. Emma started cooking the stir fry once we got there. She had everything all chopped and ready to go into the wok. It smelled delicious.

She chopped broccoli, snow peas, portobello mushrooms, and chicken. Cooked it in her wok with soy sauce and magic.  She cooked white rice and then topped the rice with the ingredients from the wok and ta da! Our amazingly delicious stir fry. I had two portions!

Emma set the table to wine and dine us!

Of course Oliver got a lot of attention too!

Possibly too much attention.

Ummm.... yeah, way too much attention!
