Yesterday was my best friend Sara's Birthday! It also happened to be here boyfriend, Spencer's, birthday as well. So, Saturday night we celebrate.
A friend was in town running sound for Fair To Midland at Webster Hall, so after the concert I headed out to Park Slope and met the birthday gang at Mission Delores on 4th Avenue and Carroll Street.
Happy Birthday Sara!! Love you!
On my way to Brooklyn, a little later than expected, I googled a bakery close by Mission Delores. I wanted to pick up some cupcakes. I found a baker Troise Pommes Patisserie block away. How fortunate. So I went inside and made my presence known, said happy birthday, gave hugs and then snuck out with Lauren to grab some sweets.
Trois Pommes Patisserie is a small cute little French Bakery with all sorts of sweets from breakfast items, cookies, whoopie pies, cakes, tarts and ice cream.
There were not as many options to chose from since it was ten til' nine and they closed at nine on Saturday. However, they did have two Pumpkin Whoopie Pies and six Red Velvet Whoopie Pies. Of course we had to get them!
They have a great slection of Cookies and Sweets which include:
Peanut Butter Sandwich
A wonderful selection of pies and tarts:
Assorted Mini Tarts
Delicious looking cakes and cupcakes:
They also have breakfast items which include:
And then they do special occasions which include wedding birthday and holiday cakes and pies. My mouth is watering just looking at these amazing sweets.
We ended up getting two Red Velvet Whoopie Pies and the two Pumpkin Whoopie Pies along with six cupcakes. Two Chocolate cake cupcakes with vanilla frosting, two vanilla cake cupcakes with chocolate frosting and two vanilla cake cupcakes with vanilla frosting.
The birthday girl and boy, Sara and Spencer. Yes we sang happy birthday in the middle of the bar!
To give you an idea of how close MIssion Delores and Trois Pommes Patisserie are, you can see below on the map. Point A is Mission Delores and point B is Trois Pommes.
Sara sent an invite out for her Birthday! She got all creative on Photo Shop!
Oliver was supposed to come but because of the last minute concert I didn't have time to bring the little guy. Next time.
Of course you can take one look at the below images and say industrial, concrete and metal, yep, that's my kinda bar.
The space was great. Luckily they had been there for a while and got a nice large section of tables. By the time I arrived it was busy and crowded.
I love the "art work" of the old doors on the walls. Very me. I love the rustic look of the tables and stools.
They had two arcade games which is something you don't see much in NYC bars. People were playing board games all over. I believe I spotted Connect 4 at the bar.
And as I mentioned earlier, dogs are allowed.
Here are some of the snap shots from Sara and Spencer's Birthday!
