Last night, instead of going to the gym, I spent an hour backing up all the photos to my external hard drive. I figured it would be a good idea since I have roughly 10,000 new photos from this year and I would very much love not to lose any of them. This was also triggered by the feedback I received on my MWK photo.
Because of Andy's birthday, I went snooping around on my photobucket account, where I have photos from the past six years, to find some silly, embarrassing and adorable snap shots of the kid. I happened upon this MWK photo. However, it was a very small version from my MySpace days.
Last year my beloved Power Book G4 crashed. A few months before the crash of 2008, I debated on buying a new Mac Book Pro. After minutes of debating on how to spend my tax return, I decided to buy an external hard drive to dump all my photos on to make more room on the G4 and splurge on a new wardrobe.
Sadly a few months later, the G4 crashed. And it crashed hard. The genius's couldn't even fix it. Apparently my logic board crashed. Whatever that means. They did mention it was in the best condition they had ever seen and recommend I sell it for some computer nerd to tear apart and possibly repair. So, that is what I will do however, I'm not selling it, I'm giving it to be biggest computer nerd I know and love, Nick.
To get to the point of this story, after all the feedback I received on my MWK photo, it sparked my interest in finding the original copy to which lead me to my external hard drive. Viola, there it was in it's original state and very large! Not only is my Mac Book Pro backed up, I found some of my old favorite photos from the ten years! Maybe one day I will share!
But for now, my two favorite photos from the Hurricane in Lawrence, KS on 01.04.06.
