Turkey Day: Tulsa

Happy Thanksgiving friends and family!
Today has been a wonderful day spent entirely with my family, which doesn't happen often these days since Andy and I live on opposite coasts.

I was looking forward to warmer weather and spending time outside running, cycling, swimming and playing with my furry friends. However, last night, when we left the bar to come home, the cold front passed through which put a small cramp in our morning ritual...

We didn't let it stop us though. We bundled up in our hats, scarves, gloves and jackets and sat outside in front of the fire like any other morning.

Besides from the fact that we are dressed for a snow storm, it looks like it would be rather pleasant outside. I believe what was 36 degrees felt more like 20. Of course the kid was still sleeping at this hour and missed out on the family photos.

Mom and I spent all day slaving in the Kitchen while Andy acted as the MC.

Skib's Thanksgiving Dinner Menu:

Alexis' Awesome Matzo Ball Soup
Carol's Cabbage Salad
Carol's Spring Salad

and for dessert...

mini pumpkin pies!

My favorite Dining Room.

I would like to introduce the newest additions to Club Skib Downtown.
Please meet Fuzz (Top Left), Auggie (Middle Right) and Sawyer (Bottom = Mine).
All I can say is adorable.

I hope everyone had a thankful and wonderful day spent with family and friends. I will be spending the rest of the evening watching movies and taking a nice dip in the hot tub with the family!

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Just got around to reading this post. I love how much you guys love your dogs, and include them in all your family photos.

My family does the Campbells Green Bean Casserole, too. It's so good...mainly because of the french-fried onions. Those things are addictive.

I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving. It was nice meeting you on Friday night. :)

  2. My sister will be so happy you made things from the throwdown!!

    I want Fuzz-like now!!!
