Williamsburg Weekend: Afternoon Drinks

Last weekend I spent the better half of my Sunday in Williamsburg. Williamsburg is in Brooklyn if you didn't know. I also had to ask so, don't feel bad. Kidding. Anyway, a friend told me they always hang at the same place and I should come by. You ask and you shall receive.

I actually knew the bar. I had previously been to Spuyten Duyvil for my friend, Rion's, birthday last year.

Everyone check out his musick... The Zax.

It was later in the year and starting to get cold at nights and it was almost warm enough for us to hang outside in their awesome back garden. So, we did. If New Yorkers are good at anything it is trying to cheat the weather. This time we weren't so lucky. So, I spent the entire time at the end of the bar chatting and making new friends.

I was told to ride me bike. Alas, the weather was not "Alexis Bike Riding" approved. It really was cold out and as the day went by, the colder it got. However, inside we were nice and toasty. So toasty I was down to a tank top after an hour.

Spuyten Duyvil is a great place to hang out, grab some drinks and catch up with friends. It wasn't too crowded, everyone had a seat and the music was pretty awesome. There is even a Juke Box! Love.

Williamsburg is really a neighborhoody area. Remember my first visit to Spuyten Duyvil, for Rion's Birthday? Well, guess who showed up... Rion! Straight off the plane. Needless to say I had a great time.

I would definitely love to come back when the weather warms up to hang out here.

Maybe I'll even ride my bike this time. I would fit in so much more. Now I gotta rummage through my closet to see if I can find a plaid. Hmmm...

Check the place out. It's hip-ster!
