We're the 4 Best Friends that Anybody Could Have...

Tomorrow I am heading to good Ole Austin, Texas to rendezvous with my three best girlfriends from high school! This will be the first time all four of us have hung out together since high school. Kimi, the actual only residence of Austin, will be taking us all in.

Shannon is coming in from Dallas, Kylie will be driving up from San Antonio, and I believe everyone knows where I'll be coming from!

I just received an email itinerary for our weekend from our gracious host which includes workouts, meals, bars, boats and music. I believe a bathing suit is even required. Eeks! I'm not in bikini form yet and I'm not sure three days gives me enough time before we sail out on the boat!

This will be my first time in Austin and along with a city I'd love to explore, I also have other friends I would love to see. Therefore, my three day weekend is going to be stretched out to the max.

I arrive late tomorrow night and will absolutely be venturing out into the night to see some old friends from Tulsa.

On Friday we will hang out and catch up. That night we are planning on staying in for dinner and having a nice big fiesta at Kimi's house before heading out on the town!

On Saturday Kimi would prefer us to wake up ideally around 10:00am and hit the gym hard to get ride of what we drank the night before! Working out on vacation? What!!

She has recommended Quacks Bakery, which is within walking distance of her place or Torchy's Tacos, which would require a car.

During the day we are joining Kimi's friend and her husband on their boat, that is if it's weather permitting. She has allotted time for relaxing after our boat outing because we would be exhausted.

For dinner that evening we her top pick is Homeslice followed by a downtown visit to the 5th and 5th Street Districts.

On Sunday, Kimi has graciously invited us to her Sunday Brunch Club with fifteen of her closest Austin friends. With the five of us, this brings the brunch number up to twenty! Sounds like a fun time! This weekend brunch will be held at Ztejas.

How to Prepare:

- change of workout clothes
- 1 bathing suit, cover-up, and towel

-Cash for cab fare.  It is $18 (including tip) from my house to downtown.  We will all fit in the same cab; it's great!

Oh my gosh do I love this girl or what!!!

Tonight, after the theater with Emma, I am heading home to start packing for Austin! I can't wait to see my best friends. I have had a lot going on the past couple of weeks, physically and emotionally, and a girls trip is just what I need!

Just in case I don't have time to post tomorrow, I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

  1. Looks like you're in for a fun (and busy!) weekend. That's great that you stay in touch with your friends from high school, despite the distance between y'all. Although I suppose in today's day and age, it's not that hard to stay in touch. :)

    Have a great time!
