Proud Sister

Since I only have one brother, Andy, it is pretty obvious that I am referring to him when I refer to myself as a proud sister. Andy is an amazingly talented musician who plays in multiple bands.

I was recently honored to announce the cover and one song from his sophomore EP Lost in American, for his solo project, To Have Heroes. Now, I am pleased to present a song he co-wrote with two of his friends and band mates, David Cook and Neal Tiemann, on David Cook's new album This Loud Morning.

Please enjoy track 11, which was interesting to learn that it is not only my lucky number and first soccer number but it is also Andy's lucky number and first soccer number, Goodbye to the Girl

Also, if you feel like doing some reading, MTV wrote a great article about David's sophomore release, This Loud Morning. You might notice my little brothers name in there somewhere. Possibly paragraph eight and the forth and fifth word in. Not that I'm counting or anything.

  1. I'm so happy for your little bro! "Goodbye to the Girl" is an amazing song, written by an amazing songwriting team. In my opinion, they need to write *every* song on the next David Cook record. :)

  2. I love this blog post :) I'm waiting until the release date to listen to the entire CD, but you may be glad to hear that I've chosen your brother's song as the one song I'm allowing myself to listen to on my birthday!

  3. Such an amazing album! Can't wait to have it in my hands! Also, I love your blog! It inspires me to start one too!

  4. No wonder you are proud of your brother. This Loud Morning is truly a work of art. Lyrically beautiful, instrumentally awesome. And much credit should go to Andy Skib. Such talent. Keyboards, guitar, and cowriter of GTTG. And now his own great new EP. I can see why the the guys are attracts like...and the support they give to each other is amazing.

  5. Goodbye to the Girl is my favorite song from TLM. <3 I met your brother once when they visited Manila and he's such a down-to-earth person. He's very friendly and approachable. :) And hey, 11 is my volleyball number! :)
