Yesterday was a big day for two of my friends and I was very excited to be part of both of their special days.
Early Sunday morning, Oliver and I arrived in Central Park to wait at the finish line for Emma to complete her first duathlon!
We sat in the park and had breakfast after her race. It was a lovely morning.
From there, Oliver and I headed on our second adventure of the day, Susie and Frank's Apple Pickin' Baby Shower at Masker Orchards in Warwick, NY. The drive upstate was beautiful. The weather was perfect and the sun was shining bright.
We arrived at the orchard a little later than we would have hoped for. There was a little (sarcasm) unexpected traffic. We were ready to get out, stretch our legs, breathe in the fresh air and dive into the table of food that awaited our arrival. Not to mention, eat and pick a lot of apples!
It was easy to find out the location of the shower...
All the presents started to pile up. That was until we moved them all to the side so we could take a little nap on the tarp.
Susie, Frank and little baby BamBam.
(They won't tell us the name so we made one up.)
The happy couple!
Our mini photo shoot....
Me and the Dad to be. Yes he's that tall and I'm that short.
I was amazed with how many apples one tree produced. There were bundles of apples in these trees. Oliver had a wonderful time napping in the tall grass.
After chowing down on the snacks and apples, mini photo shoots and running around the orchard, we were all ready for a nap. I was exhausted! Siesta time!
It was a fun day!
I can't wait to meet the little bundle of joy!
