Second Story: Desserted Island I

One of my favorite activities of the day, or should I say, that helps me get through the day, is reading blogs. Even before we lived together, Emma and I would send each other mouth watering delights we would find during these daily blog breaks. Just to name a few, Food52, Smitten Kitchen, and Simply Recipes are some of our favorites. Now that we live together, it is even more exciting because I know, sooner than later, I will either be tasting them, or be partaking in the making of them. 

Not only do I get to enjoy all these fancy baked goods, I get to look forward to baking in our new Kitchen. Our fancy new kitchen is large enough to allow all three cooks in the kitchen! All thanks to our famous center island. This island has a warm spot in all of our hearts. Not only is it large and centrally located, it also allows our guests to stand around and watch us bake these heavenly sweet treats. Thus, leading to the name Desserted Island.

Emma, the resident chef and baker extraordinaire, was the first to christen the oven with some of the spiciest and most flavorful cookies, my mouth has ever had the pleasure of tasting. All thanks to Food52. I got a sneak peek at the recipe a couple days earlier. Not to my surprise, was there a party in my nose the second I walked into the house.
