The past couple of months, I've been running with my roommate Emma, while she trains for her very first half marathon, which takes place this Sunday. As her runs got longer, the less I participated. I will still run with her on her occasional shorter runs.

A couple of weeks ago, before my skication, we rode to Williamsburg and ran around the track in McCarren Park.  On our way home, we decided to stop and grab a bite to eat. Thankfully, it just so happend DuMont was on the way home. Just like most restaurants in this city, DuMont has been on my list for sometime now. I've heard from Emma and Kristen how delicious it is.

It was a last minute stop and the place was packed, we were hungry and it was late so we opted to sit immediately at the bar instead of waiting for a table. We both felt that was the smartest choice with how hungry and tired we were.

Next time, since there will be a next time, I would love to sit out back in the beautiful covered garden.

The menu was short and sweet. They also had specials of the day. However, after taking one look at my neighbors burger, It was ultimately decided that was what I was destined to have.

After patting myself on the back for not getting something too fattening, I decided to hold on the bun. I figured I could have a couple bites here and there of the bun. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The bun was so amazing, I ate it by itself after I had devoured the burger. I would go back just for the bun.

Emma went back and forth between some of the menu items and the pasta special. I have to tell you, this might have been one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had in my life. It was so delicious, when Emma couldn't finish it, I had to do the honors. Plus, we had just run almost five miles.

DuMont had a quite and relaxing, very date like, atmosphere. It was adorable and the service was friendly and nice. I'm sure I will use the excuse "How about we run around the track in Williamsburg" again soon! Top fifteen restaurants for sure!
