Everything about this weekend was wonderful! Especially the weather. Once again, we were busy, as always. There are so many amazing things to do in this beautiful city and if you sit around long enough, the time passes by too quickly you miss the chance.
We made a quick stop to the roof top of the MET to see impressive exhibit by Tomas Saraceno properly named Cloud City.
On Saturday, we spent the morning in Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo walking along the promenade and water enjoying the beautiful morning. Oliver was in puppy heaven!
Saturday night, we joined some friends for drinks and oysters at Maison Premiere in Williamsburg. We were lucky enough to get a seat out back in their stunningly gorgeous garden.
For dinner, we enjoyed a late meal at The Meatball Shop just down Bedford.
We also enjoyed a tasty treat of fresh mint ice cream sandwiched between a brownie walnut cookie and chocolate chip cookie. Delish!
On Sunday, we woke up early and took the city by storm! Not really, but that is what it felt like. After lunch at Grey Dog with Sara, and a tiny shopping spree in SoHo, only minor damage was done, we headed to McCarren Park to indulge in some refreshing margaritas with Emma and Chris.
The evening ended with burritos from Calexico and stoop beers and freshly baked banana bread, while watching the storm, which has now occupied most of the city, come in. It was a lovely weekend. One which I hope to repeat for the remainder of the summer.
