Fourteenth Floor Up: A Work In Progress

I've finally moved in! I can't believe it. For as easy and stress free the move was, I was a wreck! Ryan came Friday night to help me and my Mom. It was a great surprise.

We finished packing the morning of the move and once the movers arrived, under two hours and my stuff was out of there. We arrived at the new apartment shortly after to find the movers pulling up a little after we did. It took a minute to get the hang of the elevators and phones but we finally figured it out. Roughly an hour later, maybe even less, everything was moved in. Mom and Ryan popped open a bottle of red and we started unpacking.  We did unpack things were brought in, this way, we got rid of as many boxes as we could giving us more space to place the furniture.

By the end of day one, everything was pretty much in its place. All except the curtains and art, which we had decided we would do the next day anyway. Ryan and I went and picked up some dinner from Bianca to bring home and the three of us crashed around 9:00pm. Talk about being exhausted.

Sunday night, after a break for a Broadway show, we came back to hang the curtains and art. Finally, everything, for now, is complete. My new Crate & Barrel sleeper sofa arrives this weekend and my storage bench from Restoration Hardware will come in a couple of weeks. I can't wait until the place is totally complete, but for now, it will definitely do!

My Mom and Ryan were such troopers and amazing help. I could have done it without them but I would never want to. They gave it their all and you can tell. The space looks fantastic!
I love my new apartment and can't wait to get home!
Thanks Mom and Dad for all your love and support! I could not have done it without you!
