I have three best friends from high school who are to this day, still my very best friends. It just so
happens all three of them live in Texas. Except, they all three live in different cities. Shannon lives
in Dallas, Kylie lives in San Antonio and Kimi, who used to live in Austin, lives somewhere in
between SA and Austin now.
Two years ago we started our best friends weekend where we would pick a city where one of us
lived and all get together. For our first Best Friends Trip, we visited Kimi in Austin! We had such
a great time exploring the city, trying so many different restaurants, and food trucks, going out on
the town and hanging with friends.
This year, unfortunately Kimi is unable to make the trip for the one and only good reason
that she and her boyfriend just got engaged and are busy planning and spending money
(hence the no trip) on their wedding this September. As a bridesmaid, I can say I forgive
her this time. Kimi came to visit me on my birthday two years ago. We had such an
amazing trip. So amazing, it I wrote it into a blog and it has now become one of my most
popular reads: 25 First Time Visiting NYC Rules.
Kylie came to visit me two years ago for Halloween. She was lucky enough to attend
This will be Shannon's third or fourth time visiting (I've lost track). My first new years here in
NYC Shannon came.We had such a blast getting dolled up, dining at Buddakan and celebrating
with Sadie and a bottle of Veuve on the fifth floor up's roof. She also came two new years eve's
ago as well. This time she was here for a whole week and we ended up toasting to the new
year on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade with my awesome NYC friends.
Kylie and Shannon are coming and they actually arrive to NYC in about ten minutes! Last night I
spent the entire time scrubbing, dusting, vacuuming and organizing my apartment for my guests! I
evenstopped by the local market and picked up some beautiful flowers! Along with the flowers,
I also arranged their little NYC care packages with some bubbly for their arrival!
I cannot wait to see these two girls!
I have a great weekend planned out for them and I'm sure you will hear all about it next week!
I hope everyone has a wonderful St. Patrick's Day weekend! Please be safe!
