The Monday after Thanksgiving, my Mom was still in town visiting so I took the day off to spend more
time with her. We slept in, ate breakfast and headed out for some Christmas shopping. We had a few
items left on our checklist we needed to check off. It was a beautiful sunny day so we decided to walk.
We headed north to SoHo and stopped at some of my favorite stores along the way. One store, Canvas,
which is the sister store (why is it never brother?) to Ochre, opened a few years ago on Lafayette and
Broome. I have loved Canvas from the moment it opened. We causally walked around just looking
until all of the sudden my eyes fell on this antique Le Corbusier Grand Modele armchair. I knew I was
in trouble, or rather my bank account.
Thankfully, the chair was on sale and they could deliver it the same day. It was a match made in NYC.
That evening, my brand new antique chair was delivered and placed right in the spot I had been hoping
to fill for some time. I love it more and more each day. Merry Christmukkah to me!
While we are at it, why not an overview of the whole apartment. It is really starting to come together.
Of course, Oliver needed some attention.
