For New Years 2016, Leif and I rented a cabin in the woods in upstate New York.
Sara and Tim joined us along with their two furry friends. Four people and four
dogs in one cabin sure makes for an interesting and fun weekend! We arrived in
the early afternoon. There was little snow covering the ground but it was cold.
Leif started a fire and we unpacked the cars.
We had enough food for a whole week thanks to Tim. Sara and Tim started dinner for
the weekend, a delicious chili, a meat and cheese board and wine!
We spent the days watching movies, playing games and puzzles. I think we finished two
1,000 piece puzzles throughout the weekend.
The cabin was perfect with enough space for all of us to be comfortable.
Oliver enjoyed the fireplace more than anything!
On our last day, we took a long walk with the dogs down the country streets. We had
no phone service and it started snowing. It was a perfect New Years day.
Our sleeping loft.
What a great way to ring in the new year!
