Beach Houses

One thing I almost like more than the beach itself is the houses on the beach! Now, the one problem with my profession is that I love so many different styles. This doesn't sound like much of a problem now does it? Well, it is. If I ever get lucky enough to build and design my own home, I have no idea on earth what I would want to do.

I do not know if this is a problem with all designers, in all fields, but I myself have the hardest time designing anything for myself. My teeny tiny apartment in Little Italy took me 2.5 years to finish. Yes, a lot of that had to do with my budget, but mostly it was because I had no idea what I wanted to do. I don't know how many times I had to ask my friends what they though I should do.

So, to get back to my point about beach houses, I have posted some of my favorite beach houses. As you can see, none of them are similar. Most people think when you build a house in a certain location, you have to make the house fit that location. Some people follow this "rule". I however, feel you can build anything anywhere. I am more partial to contemporary and modern architecture but when it comes to beach houses, I love the beach style.

At least I have a few years until I might possibly be lucky enough to build my own home. Enjoy!
