With another intense week of work almost behind me, and a week of vacation just days away, I am sad to announce, it doesn't look like work will be slowing down anytime soon. Thus leading to blog neglect.
In the meantime, I was lucky enough to inherit a wonderful piece of art from the MOMA Store. This ever so popular Ellsworth Kelly print looks stunning in our Kitchen.
It really adds a sense of sophistication, which I was looking for, to the apartment.
Everything is slowly coming together and I would say, for living in the house for only two months, it actually looks pretty much together to me!
Along with this wonderful print, I myself also spent some time in MOMA recently and snapped some photos of my favorite pieces in the galleries now.
Just to name a few, some of my favorite artists are Henri Matisse, Joan Miró , Jackson Pollack, Joseph Fernand Henri Léger , Marc Chagall, Robert Longo, Cy Twombly, Robert Motherwell and Richard Serra. I was lucky enough to get to see pieces by almost all of them. Here are some of my favorites!
We spent a good portion of our visit in the Cindy Sherman exhibit, which was a bit twisted yet interesting. No photography was allowed as there were some disturbing images for minors. That says it all right there.
It has been decided, I can't waste anymore of my time living in NYC without visiting more museums. Where to next? The Guggenheim? Whitney? There are so many to choose from! I can't wait to see where I will end up next!
we are definitely going there on my next visit! and btw, i will be stealing that picture too. don't say i didn't warn you!! haha. :|
